What size luggage can hold 50 pounds?Depending on how you pack, a suitcase under 28 inches should stay under the 50 lbs luggage weight limit. Most well made bags larger than that can hold 50 lbs easily.
There are a few things to consider to make sure you have a suitcase that can hold 50 lbs or more.
video #1 Travelonthefly.com
Because larger suitcases have more interior space, they can hold more weight. In contrast, if you pack a small suitcase with heavy items like shoes or magazines or books, you’ll pass 50 lbs really fast.
I put together a little suitcase sizing guide that you can check before you buy a piece of luggage to make sure it will fit your needs and make sure you have enough space and stay under a 50 lbs luggage weight limit.
Also, there is a list ofairline baggage weight limits at the bottom of the article for the most popular airlines for you too.
What Size Luggage can hold 50 lbs?
You can use a handy travel scale (like this one) to ensure your suitcase is weighed prior to check-in so you don’t have to pay for overweight baggage.
In order to spread the weight evenly between the two pieces of luggage, you can choose two smaller 24-inch suitcases.
Additionally, this will make your bags easier to handle.
It really depends on how you prefer to travel and what you find easier. You might like a couple of smaller bags and you might one larger bag.

It should come as no surprise to any American citizen that they do many things quite differently in the United Kingdom (aka, Great Britain, aka, England) than they do here in the United States. They drive on the left side of the road, their buses are double-tiered and painted bright fire engine red, they have Parliament instead of Congress, etc.
What color paint Is used on all public phone booths and mailboxes in England? One iconic symbol of Great Britain includes the country’s distinctively painted bright red mailboxes and public phone booths.
What is the story behind these famous elements of the U.K.’s culture?
What is a Public Phone Booth Called in England?
The red public phone booths in England and the British Isles are known as red telephone boxes. Red telephone boxes are all over the streets in the U.K., as well as in Bermuda, Malta, and Gibraltar.
From 1926 until the present, these telephone boxes have boasted a prominent crown, a representation of the British government.
Who Designed the Red Telephone Boxes Found in England?
Sir Giles Gilbert Scott (1880-1960) is credited with the original design of what came to be known as the distinguished red British telephone boxes. Scott was born into a family of renowned British architects and is also known as the designer of the Liverpool Anglican Cathedral, the Battersea power station, and the Bankside power station (today known as the Tate Modern).
Scott initially began with a classical design, later adding the famous domed roof, which is likely to have been inspired by Sir John Soane’s tomb located in the St. Pancras Church in London. Visitors can view Scott’s original design for the phone box at the entrance of London’s Royal Academy.
Are There Still Red Phone Booths in London?
With the advent of mobile telephones, the number of active red phone kiosks has significantly dropped in recent years, but they are still found around all over England, including in London, as well as in current and former British colonies. Some are even protected under British law, at least for the time being.
What Color Are Mailboxes in England?

What Color Are Mailboxes in Other Countries?

It used to be that, at least in London, mail was delivered up to twice daily, including on major holidays, like Christmas.

Yes, Payphones still exist in the UK, and they’re not all bright red. Around 5,000 red telephone boxes are left out of the 31,000-some total number of payphones in Great Britain.
The telecommunications company that owns the red phone kiosks (a company known as British Telecom, or BT) has been advocating for the iconic kiosks to be converted into news/snack kiosks, used book exchanges, and even some photo studios. Many charities and other local groups have been offered ownership of the boxes for only £1 each (about $1.25 USD when I wrote this article).
Who Owns the Red Phone Boxes in England?
At one point, Britain’s red phone boxes numbered nearly 100,000 in total. As mentioned, a company known as British Telecom (BT) owns the boxes, which have been continuing to decrease in numbers.
What Color Are the Phone Boxes in Hull, United Kingdom?
Yorkshire, U.K. Back in 1936, Hull did not accept the red color for their phone boxes, and the city adopted green and cream-colored phone kiosks. Now all of Hull’s phone boxes bear the distinctive cream color.

Are the Iconic British Red Telephone Boxes Ever Going to Be Fully Retired?
Unfortunately for fans and nostalgic aficionados of the British red phone kiosks, they are more than likely on their way out, for good. Several rows of them can be found, rusting, cracking, and aging in a yard near Merstham, Surrey.
There are no plans to destroy them completely, and they will likely be refurbished to go on and enjoy time in collectors’ homes abroad, with the majority of them likely ending up as sentimental fixtures in English backyards and patios.
Why is the “Dr. Who” Phone Box Blue Instead of Red?
The popular show known as “Dr. Who” involves British characters, and there is a unique blue callbox known as a TARDIS. This particular phone kiosk is a police box, which is meant for police use, or for public use to call the police.
The boxes were used in the U.K. during the 20th Century, from about the early 1920s on. Most blue police call boxes have been retired, but there are still between five and ten still in service, with one on display at the National Tramway Museum in Crich, Derbyshire.
With COVID-19 travel restrictions, testing and vaccination requirements have varied for incoming travelers from country to country, depending on a traveler’s destination. (with some countries even putting a full stop to incoming visitors at times).
With the hectic pace of life, sometimes it’s not easy to stay on top of what travel restrictions are or aren’t for an upcoming trip. Delta Airlines has stepped up to better assist its customers to receive testing, even if at the last minute before traveling with a new digital tool called Delta FlyReady.
I’ve found this convenience to add just another layer of peace of mind while traveling.
What is Delta FlyReady?
Through Delta FlyReady, passengers can see the entry requirements for their destination automatically on certain routes. Furthermore, this section shows additional steps you may need to take before departure with informational resources. It can be accessed via the Delta app or website.
When it comes to COVID-19 Delta FlyReady now also can be used to schedule a COVID-19 test in order to help meet said requirements. The program will verify COVID test results, as well as confirm that travelers meet required testing for wherever they may be traveling. No more guesswork!
Delta has partnered with Virgin Atlantic Airways so that both Delta and Virgin travelers headed across the Atlantic Ocean, and who meet eligibility requirements, will be able to begin utilizing the tool’s newest updates as early as summer 2022.
Is Delta FlyReady an App?
The Delta FlyReady tool is integrated directly into Delta’s network, eliminating any need for an additional app download. Eligible travelers are able to access Delta FlyReady via a link found in a pre-flight email, text, or through their Delta My Trips interface (part of the Fly Delta app) before their trip.
How Do I Access Delta FlyReady?
The FlyReady tool can be utilized through the booking, check-in, and other processes via delta.com and the Fly Delta app.
After booking a flight, users can access FlyReady via delta.com/flyready, from the Fly Delta app, or from a link they may have received via text or email. Then the app offers any and all COVID-related travel requirements pertinent to a user’s trip.
Travelers can upload any relevant health documentation that may be required before they even start packing. The tool also helps users access convenient testing options.
The app and delta.com site are gearing toward making travel as seamless as possible amid COVID-19 travel restrictions.
On FlyReady-enabled routes, I can access entry requirements that may be in place for any destination, and can access information and directives outlining any additional steps required before travel.
Travelers will also be able to upload negative COVID test results, as well as vaccination documentation via the FlyReady app.
Delta FlyReady also features an expedited FlyReady bag drop lane to help get you through the airport quicker.
What’s the Latest With Delta FlyReady?
Delta continues to improve their user experience with the Delta FlyReady tool. Some recent improvements include:
Enhanced traveler ability to see outbound AND inbound requirements simultaneously after booking a flight, to offer plenty of lead time for traveling back.
More personalization in the user view of requirements for the traveler’s destination. This includes use of the traveler’s SkyMiles profile and passport information to fill out required documentation ahead of time for smoother, more expedited travel.
Improved functionality lets users save, exit, and then go back to document and passport submission, so as not to have to start over at each login.
An updated user interface with a smoother and enhanced user experience for mobile, so travelers can easily use Delta FlyReady with any of their devices.
For anywhere you’re traveling, you can check COVID test/vaccination requirements for your destination and return, during the booking, check-in, and other processes via delta.com and the Fly Delta app.
How Long After COVID Can I Travel?
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends quarantining and not traveling for at least five days after the last close contact with anyone who has tested positive for COVID-19. The CDC goes on to recommend that it’s best to wait 10 days after exposure before traveling. The quarantine recommendation applies to anyone testing positive for COVID-19, even if he or she is not traveling.
For international travelers (as well as U.S. states and even cities), requirements vary depending upon the destination.
When Should I Test Again After Testing Positive for COVID-19?
Once someone has tested positive for COVID-19, he or she does not need to be tested again for 90 days from the onset of noticeable symptoms, or from the time he or she became ill, or from the date of a positive test.
Do I Need a Negative COVID Test to Enter Mexico or Canada?
For unvaccinated travelers wishing to enter Mexico, a negative COVID-19 test is not required to enter the country. Mexico has its own health screening protocols at airports and other entry points. Travelers, including flight crew members arriving at Mexican airports, will likely be subject to temperature checks and health screenings.
Canada is a little more strict. Unvaccinated travelers arriving at any Canadian airport or at the border are required to have a valid negative test result (paper or electronic) Proof of a positive molecular test result taken at least 10 calendar days, but not more than 180 calendar days is also accepted to enter Canada.
What To Do If My Delta FlyReady Access Is Not Working?
If the Delta FlyReady tool is ever down due to technical issues, or you are unable to access it because of connectivity issues, Delta recommends you always carry paper hardcopies of any documentation you might need in regard to your COVID test results and vaccinations.
In short, if it’s for childcare, you can bring milk or baby formula on a plane with no quantity restrictions. There are also no restrictions for bringing milk in checked baggage. If you’re not caring for a child, milk is limited to 3.4 ounces or 100 mL. It must be in a sealed container to prevent spills and make screening easy.
As you’re packing up for your trip, you might need milk to care for your infant or toddler. Or maybe you’re just wondering if you can bring it on a plane for yourself.
How to Pack Milk in Carry-On
When you go through airport security, you may need to set aside your milk for a separate screening. It’s best to pack it in a sealed, labeled container to make screening quick and easy. The container must be able to fit into a quart-sized bag.
Sometimes, items can obstruct the x-ray machine making it difficult for TSA agents to screen your luggage. So it’s best to pack your milk separately to minimize delays at the security checkpoint.
If your milk is for childcare, then it doesn’t follow the TSA’s 3:1:1 rule. Make sure that the TSA agents know this when you go through screening. With baby formula, milk or any other drink for infants, you can bring as much milk as needed. But make sure it’s a reasonable quantity.
In other words, only bring on as much as you need. Don’t try and get past the TSA checkpoint with several gallons. You’ll likely end up exceeding the weight limit of your carry-on luggage, as liquids are quite heavy. You may be subject to additional screening too. TSA agents reserve the right to confiscate your belongings if they violate their policies.
How many 3.4 oz containers of milk can you bring on a plane?
You can bring between six and eight 3.4 ounce containers on a plane. Six to eight containers are approximately how many you can fit into one quart-size bag.
Can I bring milk in checked baggage?
Yes, you can bring milk in unlimited quantities in checked baggage.
Keep in mind that each airline has weight restrictions for luggage. Liquids are quite heavy, so the weight of your luggage can add up quickly. When flying with milk in your carry-on, it must all fit in one quart-sized bag. Your milk should be in a sealed container. The bag is a nice backup if the seal happens to break. You won’t have to deal with a mess once you get to your destination and unpack your things.
How to Pack Milk in Checked Baggage
When packing milk in checked baggage, make sure it is closed tightly and secured to prevent spills in transit. Weigh your luggage before going to the airport to ensure it’s within the weight limit of your specific airline. Otherwise you may have additional fees to pay when you go to check in.
How much milk can you take on a plane in checked baggage?
You can take as much milk as you need on a plane in your checked baggage. But you should double check on the TSA’s website to make sure there are no regulations.
Certain toiletries, like spray deodorant, have limits established by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). Read more about traveling with spray deodorant in this article.
Can you bring breast milk on a plane without your baby?
Yes, parents can bring breast milk on a plane, with or without their baby. If needed, you can bring more than 3.4 ounces or 100 mL on a plane.
Can you take oat milk on a plane?
Oat milk follows the TSA’s 3:1:1 rule. So you can bring 3.4 ounces or 100 mL of oat milk on a plane. It must fit inside a quart sized bag.
Can you bring formula powder on a plane?
Yes, you can bring formula powder on a plane. The TSA allows reasonable quantities of formula powder, but if you bring over 12 ounces or 350 mL, you may have to go through additional screening. If the TSA doesn’t find anything suspicious, they will clear your formula powder.
Can you bring powdered milk on a plane?
Yes, you can bring powdered milk on a plane. The TSA allows reasonable quantities of formula powder, but if you bring over 12 ounces or 350 mL, you may have to go through additional screening. If the TSA doesn’t find anything suspicious, they will let you bring your powdered milk on board.
Is milk considered a liquid by the TSA?
Yes, milk is considered a liquid by the TSA. Milk needed for childcare has special exceptions, though. It does not abide by the TSA’s 3:1:1 rule so you can bring as much as you need to care for your child, within reason. Keep in mind that you have to abide by the airline’s weight restrictions for carry on bags.
What is the TSA’s 3-1-1 rule?
The 3-1-1 liquids rule is a rule implemented by the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) that regulates how much liquid you can bring on a plane. This rule states that you can bring up to 3.4 ounces or 100 mL of liquid on a plane. All of your liquids must be in separate containers of 3.4 ounces or less. And they must fit in one quart-size bag. 3.4 ounces, 100 mL, one quart-size bag. Hence, 3-1-1.
The 3-1-1 liquids rule can be misleading because not all the items that follow this rule are technically liquids. It also applies to gels, aerosols, creams, and anything in between. Here’s what @AskTSA has to say about the rule.
You won’t be able to bring more liquid than whatever will fit in the quart-size bag.
TSA Liquid Rule Exceptions
For some liquids, the TSA makes exceptions to the 3-1-1 rule. You can bring more than 100 mL of the following liquids.
Juice or water for babies
Medically necessary liquids, prescription liquids, and gels
To make screening smooth, let the TSA agent know how much of these liquids you are bringing.
The TSA is incredibly strict on liquids. They are committed to ensuring all passengers are safe and there are no liquid explosives in carry-ons. Do not try and get around the 3-1-1 liquids rule. It will just create more trouble for you as you’ll have to throw out any containers larger than 3.4 ounces. To make screening quick and easy, put your liquids in a separate bin.
What does the TSA do with confiscated items?
The TSA typically sends confiscated items to state agencies where they are distributed and resold. The TSA does not profit from the selling of these items. Some items are donated to non-profit organizations or recycled. TSA employees are prohibited from stealing confiscated items for personal use.
If you bring prohibited items through security, here are a few options aside from giving your items to the TSA.
Pass the item to a friend who’s not traveling.
Transfer the item to your checked baggage.
Throw away the item.
If it’s a liquid, dump it out and carry the empty container or bottle.
Recap and My Recommendations
You can bring milk on a plane. Just make sure that you follow the TSA’s rules and regulations.
Keep in mind that milk may be subject to additional screening at the security checkpoint. You can take it in your checked baggage to avoid that hassle. If the milk is for your child, be sure to tell the TSA agent.
If your milk is for your baby and you are bringing your baby on a plane, definitely bring it on board. Or if you need it for a medical reason, take it with you on the plane. Otherwise, keep it in your checked baggage. Milk can take up space you might need for other items. You might want space for electronics or books to keep you entertained in flight.
You could also buy milk once you get to your destination. Then you don’t have to worry about getting through security or leaving enough space for milk in your carry on. It just makes your life a little easier.

How to Connect Bluetooth Headphones Or Speakers To Wired Sources Using AirFly – Maybe you’ve been on a flight, wanting to connect your own Bluetooth headphones or earpieces to the aircraft’s sound system, but have realized it’s not always so easy.
Some aircraft have easier connect-ability than others, and then maybe you wonder whether Bluetooth wireless headphones are better to use, or whether good old-fashioned direct plug-in headphones are best.
You don’t have to worry about it anymore – you can enjoy the best of both worlds because the AirFly wireless headphone adapter connects wireless headphones/earbuds/speakers anywhere there’s a headphone jack available.
AirFly wireless technology features a transmitter unit that plugs into an audio jack, which can then cordlessly transmit audio up to 33 feet to one or more Bluetooth speakers or headphones (e.g., earbuds, AirPods, Bose, other wireless headphones). I’ve found it to be super user-friendly and convenient, and even fun to use.
Another great feature of the AirFly is the several hours of battery life that will keep your audio play going even for longer flights. You can also use it while it’s plugged in and charging.
Finally, a turnkey solution for audio connectivity issues you may run into, just about anywhere. The small, handy device weighs less than an ounce, features crystal clear sound for your enjoyment, and costs less than $100 USD.
AirFly functions in tandem with all Bluetooth-enabled headphones, to make it the easy-to-use audio device solution you’ve been looking for.
There are a couple of different models and then I will get into some tips and questions about using it.
AirFlyDuo: Transmits audio from a headphone jack to two sets of wireless headphones or speakers. Charges via USB-C, and features a 20+ hour battery life.
AirFlyPro: Transmits audio from a headphone jack to two sets of wireless headphones or speakers. Charges via USB-C, and features a 16+ hour battery life. “RX mode” makes a wireless audio receiver out of any AUX-IN audio port (perfect for use with the car stereo once you leave the airport).
How to Connect Bluetooth Headphones Or Speakers and Use Your AirFly:
To enter pairing mode: Turn on your AirFly device, then press and hold the power button for up to four seconds, until the indicator light starts blinking.
For pairing mode with AirPods once your AirFly device is ready for pairing: With your AirPods inside their charger case, press and hold the button on the back of the case until the indicator starts flashing white. For other audio headphones, turn them on in pairing mode once your AirFly device is ready to pair.
Once paired, the indicator light on your AirPods charging case will turn green, and the light on your AirFly will turn on white for 10 seconds, then turn off.
For AirFly devices that support two sets of headphones: repeat the above steps using button 2 on the AirFly device to pair.
You’re now ready to enjoy wireless music with your headset/pods for as long as your AirFly device is charged.
It may take up to 90 seconds to initially pair AirPods or wireless headphones, but once paired, your AirFly device will remember them from now on.
Plug your AirFly device into the charger while enjoying music to keep an ongoing charge for your device.
If only one set of headphones or AirPods seems to be connected, shut your AirFly device off, then back on to re-sync. Both wireless listening devices should reconnect.
To pair a different set of headphones/AirPods, or if your listening device is having trouble connecting, reset your AirFly by pressing the reset button on the side for four seconds. The indicator light should flash four times, then your AirFly will go into pairing mode.
Questions I Get A Lot
Does AirFly need to be charged?
Yes. Devices can hold a charge for 8 to 20+ hours, depending upon which AirFly model you own. AirFly devices can be recharged using a micro-USB cable or USB-C.
Can I use AirFly while charging?
Yes, you can, and by doing so, you will extend and maximize your use time.
Unfortunately, no. AirFly doesn’t receive audio, it only transmits audio.
Does AirFly only work with AirPods?
AirFly works with just about any Bluetooth enabled audio listening headphones/device, for single users, and with most models having the ability to allow for two users simultaneously.
Why won’t my AirPods connect to AirFly?
If you are having connectivity issues, you may try turning off, then back on your AirFly device, or holding the reset button on the device’s side for four seconds, until the indicator light blinks four times. At this point, your AirFly will re-enter pairing mode, so you can try again to pair.
Does AirFly Pro turn off automatically?

How To Connect to Delta WiFi – One of the best options when it comes to flying internationally is Delta Airlines, an American-based airline. In addition to the affordable prices, passengers can also get free in-flight wireless mobile broadband internet access, just like being on the ground.
WiFi on Delta Flights
You have two options when it comes to using the internet on Delta flights. There is a free one and a paid one.
The free option allows you to send and receive messages via smartphone apps like iMessage, Facebook Messenger, WhatsApp, etc. So it isn’t unfettered internet access but allows you to message.
Unfortunately, this one doesn’t allow you to send photos, videos or SMS text messages either. So It is pretty restricted.
If you want to do anything else with the internet, like most of us do, then the paid option is what you are looking for.
The second option is to purchase a WiFi subscription package ahead of your trip. These subscription packages start at just $16. There are details on all the different packages and options below.
