With SkyMiles, you can accumulate earned miles and use them for rewards like free travel. When we set up our SkyMiles account, you provided your name and address.
But if you move or get married you can easily update that information in your account by editing your profile.

- You can modify your profile information by clicking the part you want to change underneath the red “Edit” button, such as “Credit Card,” and then clicking the sort of information you want to change at the top, like “About me.” Select the red “Submit” button after inputting the updated information.
- You’ll need to transmit a copy of your legal records (such as a court order, marriage certificate, divorce decree, etc.) together with the requested change if you want your name changed.
- You’ll also need to send a copy of your identification verification paperwork (such as a driver’s license or passport) along with the requested adjustment if you want to modify your date of birth or gender.
- Your legal identity used for travel (driver’s license, passport, etc.) must match the name on your SkyMiles account.
- To access the Identity Verification Form and submit supporting materials, please log in.
I thought it might be harder than that, but it isn’t. I know there is a lot of work that goes into changing your name in all the other places you have to change it. At least your skymiles account isn’t as hard as some of the others like social security or passports.

Can I Change My Last Name on My Delta SkyMiles Account After I Get Married?
Yes, you can change your last name on your Delta SkyMiles account after you get married. Follow the directions immediately above. If you need additional assistance, contact Delta’s customer service at their toll-free number, 1-800-221-1212.
It is likely that a reissue of your ticket will be necessary as well as the necessary fee for changing your name.

However, if you’re only altering your middle name, you won’t be required to provide any supporting documents.
Whether you want to add a middle name, change your middle initial to your full name, or convert your whole middle name to an initial, you can easily sign in to your SkyMiles account and make the necessary adjustments without having to submit any additional paperwork.
Does Delta Charge for Name Change?
Will you be charged for a name change on your SkyMiles profile? Any mistake on a U.S. airline can be corrected for free for up to 24 hours, whether it involves replacing a single letter or the full name. You can do this by canceling your ticket for nothing and rebooking a new one.
The following waiver will not apply if your ticket was purchased more than 24 hours ago; instead, you will be charged $200 USD for the name change/name correction.
